This is my friend Chelsea. I didn't really know Chelsea except from afar before we helped start Initiative together. But once that happened, her and I, along with everyone else involved, got so close and became one of my best friends.
Her role over at Initiative is the Director of Dependence. Basically her job is to make sure the heart and soul of the organization is still focused on Jesus and the mission he's given them and each of us as disciples. And man, she does her job well. I don't think I know anyone who prays and is so openly dependent on God quite the way Chelsea is. Her dependence on God makes everyone around her want to be more dependent. And that's a powerful piece of influence to have.
You'd never know that this location was at White Rock Lake. We found this low-to-the-ground roof and got on top of it. And other cool buildings near by. This was my first T@7 shoot to do at 7PM. I know I'm getting it this post out a whole day late, but the light and extra sleep was so definitely worth it. So this will probably be how it goes until school starts and the sun starts rising later again.
It was a blast catching up with Chelsea. It'd been a while since we had hung out since I left Initiative a month ago. So much has happened in that month that it's almost impossible to get everything in within an hour, but it was refreshing regardless.
I love seeing God work through people and organizations without your help. It reminds you that God and the world are so much bigger than you. That you're a piece, but you're not everything. it's humbling and encouraging all at the same time.
If you guys don't want to miss these shoots, especially since the release timing is getting a little weird, you can put your email in below and I'll send them straight to you when they're done!
