I'm a Jesus-follower, husband, and barista-training-to-be-a-pastor. I married my high school sweetheart, Katie, just 2 weeks after we graduated from college. We dated for 7 years before we finally got married.
I grew up an only child from a broken home. I was raised by my grandparents in a Christian home, but left the faith for a time in high school. God drew me back and met me in ways that I never expected. My faith looks far different from the way it did when I was growing up, but it is stronger because of it
I have a B.A. in Communication Theory from Dallas Baptist University. I plan on beginning seminary for a M.Div in the Fall of 2017.
In college, I worked for a non-profit that focused on local missions as well as co-founded another non-profit that focused on Millennials, missiology, and the city of Dallas. I served on the board of directors and was the director of Marketing.
God called me out of that role into a time of professional photography and now has me serving my community as a local barista at one of the best coffee shops in DFW. Now I'm doing my best to love my wife, serve my church & community, and be a good friend.
I love writing, speaking, and preaching. I love discussing issues that matter. I care about theology, current events, and the practical outworking of those things in our every day lives, especially our emotional health. Oh and I have an unhealthy obsession with Harry Potter.
